Selecting 2.4 Kernel on Boot Floppy Debian Install

Is it possible that the bf2.4 is called something else?
Are you typing bf24 or bf2.4? You should be typing bf24 at the boot.
What about the tab key? Does that give you a list of boot options?
Isn't there a linux floppy boot, rather than a dos boot.bat?
