Flashmob I

I wonder if they thought to have a networking hardware company sponsor them, like 3Com. Surely
they have network gear they take out for demos and shows. Just have it sent with a bunch of spare
network cards and a tech or two, maybe a high end machine to be the headnode/server. Good cheap
promo for them. 3Com or Cisco could do the traveling Flashmob thing.
"Flashmob. Coming to a University near you. Brought to you by 3Com."
Would be a cool slogan.
Cool to see Knoppix/Morphix getting some screen time.

I wonder why they are going to wait a year before the next Flashmob?

They did pretty good. Had it not been for 1 flaky network card,
they might have succeeded. As it was they got one third of the
LAN to make 187 gigaflops, briefly. Not bad.
