You should be able to change your language
settings on the fly. As well as your keyboard
language. I do this regularly when writing to
foreign countries (mostly France and Ukraine).
Unfortunately, it has been several months
since I last penned a letter to Europe.
I generally do this from the GUI and have added
the language setting tab and keyboard configuration
to my status bar.
