The problem isn't with Majordomo.  It's with Sendmail.  The problem boils
down to the fact that if there's someone ahead of you on a slow mail
server, you get to wait for Sendmail to deliver to them before it will get
around to delivering to you.

Sendmail's queueing has historically sucked so badly that someone went
through the trouble of writing a delivery frontend called "bulk_mailer" to
speed up delivery:

    ftp://cs.utk.edu/pub/moore/bulk_mailer/

If you have to write an MTA for your MTA (mail transfer agent), something
is definitely wrong.
