Printing (with turboprint or without) inability

Yes. 
I am running cupsd on top of a Gentoo build. 
It was basically easy in Gentoo. I installed gimp and gimp-print.
Configured gimp-print. It was easy to do but finding the documentation
was not. 
Tell me what your configuration is.
