CD/DVD Duplication

Don't know about a linux app, but if you have a CD with the encryption copy
protection at the beginning of the CD (usually a small section that's a
shade different color) just get a Sharpie permanent marker and cover up the
encryption area. Computer CD-Roms will bypass that area as if it wasn't
there, and continue to copy with no problems.

On The ScreenSavers, I saw a piece about an app called Alcohol 120% which
defeats copy-protection on CD's to allow you to backup Games and other
copy-protected CD's. (http://www.alcohol-software.com/).

I want to know if anyone knows of any open-source apps which do this. In a
perfect world, you'd find one that works in Mac OSX.

Anyone?
