Where to buy computer parts?

That's a good place.  I've been buying stuff there for almost 10 years.  You
better know what you want when you go in.  They aren't the best source of
information.

I build PCs from parts.  Last one I bought all the parts there for $350
(minus keyboard, mouse, and monitor).  An AMD Huron 1.3 MHz, 80 Gig WD HD,
512 Meg of memory, video and sound on the motherboard, and a really cheap
case (it's pink).  I'm using it as my test system.  I've loaded 3 different
versions of red-hot Line on it (7.1, 7.3, and 9.0), Gent Line,  Windows 98,
and Windows 2000 (not all at the same time).  2-$10 Lynxes ethernet cards
from Best Buy and I had a nice router.
