RedHat 9 install prob!

Ok everyone, last night I figured out what caused this problem. I should
have figured it out sooner, being that Linux tends to lag a bit on new
technologies (either that or RedHat is incompetent). Ok what I found
originally was that installing RedHat 9 in graphical mode didn't work,
the screen just goes blank. Text mode was OK but once installed and
booting to RH9 X Windows didn't come up.

Now what I did was try to install RH8, this is where I started
realizing the cause of the problem... The graphical screen did come up
in here, however it was adjusted 2 inches too low on the screen, so I
couldn't see the control buttons. This posed a problem. So I tried to
adjust the screen but realised I couldn't adjust it on the monitor
because it was on the DVI cable... ding, ding, ding.... So I Switch my
LCD screen to VGA and rebooted and was able to install RH8 just fine.
WTF is what I was thinking. RH8 is obviously built better than 9. So
then I kept it on VGA and upgraded to RH9, this time the graphical
install worked and so did the OS once booted. Yeaa!!! One more note I
noticed that RH8 was able to detect my monitor as the FPD1810 LCD
screen and my vid crd as a Geforce 4 (with enabled hardware 3D
acceleration), but RH9 only detected a generic monitor and wasn't able
to enable hardware 3D acceleration. Lovely!!!

So in conclusion RH9 sucks more than 8 and Linux (at least from RedHat)
doesn't support DVI video cables which is a 3 or 4 year old technology
and has been prevelant for at least 2 years.
