OT: Garmin Software

Hey, one of you guys works for Garmin:

Is there a way around this crappy InstallShield software that won't complete 
the installation (1607: unable to install Runtime Script)?  What's with Garmin 
using software with so many known failures anyway? If I have to Run W98 to run 
the software, at least they could supply a reliable installer.
