KDE 3.1 on gentoo?

I didn't do the update to get 3.1 (new install), but had to bring x down 
to get 3.1 in kdm.  Try ctrl-alt-back space and see if it shows up as an 
option.

In the kde control panel, you can edit what the available wm's are.  I'm 
not sure where the config file is actually kept.
