Debian vs Suse

One of the reasons I picked SuSE over DebIan is that I'm used to the SysV
initscript system as used by RedHat, and SuSE is pretty close. They have
fooled themselves with having non-standard file locations though - they don't
always look at the same configuration file! (There are FOUR different kdmrc
files!)

This may be relevant as we discuss distributions:

Although they're wrong about Mandrake being current.
