Sandisk has made "Memorysticks" (sony's format) for about 5-6 months now. Im
sure there may be a few more. Price-wise, they are barely cheaper (no doubt
to Sony's 'loose' licensing agreements) :p But you 'were' right, for the
longest time, Sony branded memory sticks were the only ones available for
Sony cameras and camcorders for the longest time.
