Hyper vine getting out of DSL service

You're already using SBC - it's not like Hypervine has guys out stringing 
cable.  SBC provides the service, Hypervine buys it from them and sells it to 
you.

Depending on what kind of mailserver you want to run, it's perfectly 
reasonable to run one on a dynamic service, unless you're selling the service 
to someone else - in which case, it's pretty unethical to be using a 
non-commercial service account.  Most of the broadband ISP's around here 
offer commercial accounts, and one of the first features they offer is a 
fixed IP.

There are several of us who can probably advise you on running a 
non-commercial mailserver or webserver on a dynamic broadband account.
