All you need to do is open your XF86Config and go to the very end. There
is a section called Screen, a subsection called Display, and a
subsubsection called Modes. Take or place modes there that you do not
want. Also, scroll up to the Monitor definition and make sure that
HorizSync and VertRefresh are set to your monitor's specs.
Do not do the Ctrl+Alt+KP+/KP- suggestion. You will damage your 15"
monitor. If the above info is not correct, you may also damage your monitor.
