We have an several-thousand-dollar HP8500DN at work and I can honestly
say it was the worst purchasing decision they even made. I cleans itself
every two pages and prints about 4 PPM. We print 100+ page grants on a
regular basis and we _all_ hate the damn thing. Also, the replacement
parts (drum kit, fusser kit, etc.) are expensive.

Our boss bought himself a $200 Epson Photo inkjet to play with about two
months ago and everyone huddled around to see what all the buzz was
about. After we played with it for a few hours, it became readily
apparent that, if it accepted 11x17, it would be in the printing room
and not in my bosses office. The HP8500DN would be in the process of
recycling. :)

... Just another anecdote.
