Same way you grant degrees in Law Enforcement to people who've never worked
for the police. UMKC's law department is PROUD that none of their graduates
have practical field experience - it might contaminate their academic purity.
Want an easy bar bet with an EE? Offer to stick a screwdriver into a live
wall outlet. Any decent tech knows how to work with live circuitry, but an
EE will shrivel up like a spider on a stove at the suggestion.
