Sending MS "net" commands from a Samba client

Several things I need to do to manage an NT 4 server would be much easier if I 
could issue the equivalent of the "net" commands that are allowed from an MS 
Command Line.  Things such as net \server shutdown -r and net stop \server 
service.

Does anybody know of a Samba service that allows this?  I don't think it's 
within the scope of the SMBCLIENT package.
