I could be wrong, but it seems to me that this has been added to the specs for
all CD-ROM drives (and maybe the SCSI CDR spec?). XCDRoast has the capability
built in. All it does is establish a standard for turning off the laser when the
buffer empties and starting again when the buffer has been refilled.
