I hope everyone's broadband experience is like mine. I'm happy. I can't
complain.

I had to call Road Runner's customer service once. I lost my password for
my email, because... well, I never used it (I run my own mailserver, thank
you very much.) And I wanted to see if I had anything. Well... two rings
later, I spoke to an actual Human Being(tm) and he verified who I was and
I was on my way. I guess their email and web hosting works pretty well,
but I like to have total control of any spam source with my own mail
server. And my own domain name. RR apparently has no problem with that.

Speed as benchmarked from ftp.ibiblio.org never seems to drop from
2.4MB/sec down, 480KB/sec up, so I haven't noticed if and when there are
peak times. Must be my area.

But I'd go back to dialup if they didn't let me have my own domain name
for my own email. That's why I like competition. I don't have to worry
about my options turned into premium options with all the players to
choose from.
