To me, the best thing about it is to be able to prototype a system without
having to spend thousands in licensing costs.  Sure, most good MS houses
have MSDN subscriptions, but those cost thousands themselves, and for a
small or unofficial operation it's not practical to "borrow" licenses,
sometimes from several different firms, in order to do a proof of concept.
