ntpd has been running since it was powered up. Perhaps this has something
to do with daylights savings time...
When I noticed the uptime was not possible, the first thing I suspected
was an intrusion. The logs are tailed through a shell on another computer
and did not notice any odd connection attempts. The open ports of ssh,
postfix mta, and apache have been updated to the latest versions. I
checked the md5sums of the tarballs from another computer to be correct.
One of these days I'll solve this mystery.
