Ok now we get to pick on you. ;)

There were several posts that instructed you.

To get to a pure terminal based system:
type telinit 3 from a console. This will kill X and nay process that is
part of runlevel 5 that is not part of runlevel 3.
This will not affect how your system boots, will not modify your inittab
file, will not infect your mind, corrupt your soul, etc.
I've always used init 3, I'm not sure what the difference telinit 3 is.
Either one will work. I'm sure the way I do it wrong and that telinit 3
is
the "preferred" method.
