So far, everything else I've done works great...but I can imagine the

The RPMS I tried were generic.
But I tried first to compile from source (which is where I had the most
success), then theSRPMS, then the pre-compiled RPMS, then Qmail_The_Easy_Way, and a few others.

sounds of it, it looks like I'm going to give Postfix a try. It does
support maildirs and acomparison at http://mailsoftware.cjb.net/ shows them to be very similar
in their featureset. Also, due to the fact that I just received a few emails with good
stuff about Postfix inthem, I think I will do some research on it and give it a shot.
