Wal-Mart shipping PCs with Lindows preinstalled

I think that everyone is most comfortable using what they learn first, whether you are particularly
fond of it or not. Most general users were brought up on either Windows or Mac and they usually
hate using the other. I used Windows first and so I find it easy, because I don't have to stop and
think about how to do things, not because I genuinely prefer it. I loaded RH 7.2 Pro on my laptop
and inadvertently wiped out the windows partition. I found myself at the deep end of Linux with no
life jacket. It was much like landing on a distant planet. I had to relearn how to logon, navigate,
run programs, manipulate files, etc. It's just a different language. In joining the group, I hope
to affiliate myself with other people of varying knowledge levels so that we all can learn
something new and really cool about Linux.

So, moving right along, if I have RH 7.2, has anyone tried RH 7.3 and can you tell me why I should
move up to it? <Newbie question>....How does it work when you reinstall Linux, do you "upgrade" the
OS, uninstall the old OS and install the new or what? TX
