Ever tried it? I release all my code as opensource and support it fairly
well but the pay from doing so isn't exactly great. People with money
don't know who to pay to get their open source code. You need something in
a glossy box or in a brochure if you want a decent income.

I've gotten sysadmin jobs because people knew me from projects I was
involved in. Try offering to be a sysadmin for a needy opensource or
community project.
