I've not been there since my NT 4.0 MCSE... but I can tell you they have
some better resources than some others. Everything comes down to price in
most cases. For example - the Win2K MCSE junk was around $14K via New
Horizons, but ExecuTrain offered it to us for $9K.

As the old saying goes, however, you get what you pay for. The ExecuTrain
folks naturally had a pc at each desk with the OS, all the M$ training
materials, and everything else. It's luck of the draw on instructors
though, which I will also point out can be an issue at ANY training
facility. Some folks just teach better than others, and we have to live
with it when the "others" don't do much more than read the text to you -
what a waste of time that can be.

I know that New Horizons offers something I would find attractive - a club
membership do-hicky thingy. Essentially, you can purchase an annual
membership, and you get as much training as you can squeeze into your (and
their) schedule. They have lots of A/V modules that you can access either
on-line or after hours (not sure how late they're open) in their labs,
which the last time I looked were quite nice.

Another thing I can say about ExecuTrain - I'm not taking tests there
right now since they've decided to remodel their facilities, and don't
anticipate they'll have it up again until 2003. (They're non-public
anyway - unless you train there, you can't test there.) I've been taking
exams at TechSkills off of I-35 at Cambridge Circle. (The KSMO 62
building.) They offer training, and I find their testing lab to be quite
comfortable, although I cannot offer advice on their training. I met with
a trainer one morning however, and found them quite knowledgeable.

Look around...
Dustin
