The reason the Chip is coloquially called "fritz" is because Senator
Fritz Hollings is busilly pushing for legislation requiring Palladium in
all 'consumer' electronics. No one will be free.

The question is: where doesn't the diffinition of 'consumer electronic'
end and 'custom hardware solution' begin? Will there be a day when the
only people that can run Linux are members of some sort of hardware
underground that still believes in the fundamentally free nature of
information? This is why it is so vitially important for geeks to become
politically active. This 'DRM controlled' is a lot closer than people
realize.
