A) Strip all HTML and Binary from messages.
I like email that doesn't look like its from 20 years ago, no need to
strip out html. =20
B) Allow only posting from addresses that have been verified by a reply=
to a
message sent from the listmanager, ensuring a fully valid path and user=
ID.
(B.1) Allow posts to/from other addresses listed under a primary addres=
s,
similarly verified.)
I can't send to the list from email address that hasn't subscribed to
the list, bots are smart now, they prolly subscribed.
C) Strip individual email addresses from the on-line archives. You may
reply to an archived message by addressing the list, but not the indivi=
dual.
(C.1, optional) Mangle archived addresses instead of stripping. Subst=
itute
"at" for "@", insert spaces or decoys. This only works until they buil=
d a
better spambot.
=20
I like people being able to see my email address, bots already know
about the at anyways, why go to the trouble. When I get spam I add em
to the deny list, problem solved.
This is what we need to do. We know this.
We also need to know, this is a fact of internet life. You can always
unsubscribe from the list and just read the archives, of course you
wouldn't be able to post.........=20
