Monty,

I was using 35th as a reference. Look at a KC map sometime. You have
streets like 35th Terrace, it runs for two blocks and stops. It then picks
up again three blocks later, but it is one or more blocks North or South of
where it was. KC is littered with streets like that. One minute you're on
one street and then ... BAM ... you're on another street and you haven't
taken any turns or even changed lanes. It's like my old college in
StonyBrook,NY they had a bridge that went to nowhere, because some idiot
read the blueprints for the library backwards and put the front door in the
back. No, I avoid metro KC whenever possible, even though now I gotten used
to most of the strange streets.

I'm kind of glad I've never been to Seattle, sounds as bad as Atlanta. I
disagree with the trucker though, NY is not that bad, for cars (it can be a
real nightmare for commercial vehicles).

Brian

Only as difficult as knowing /bin from /usr/bin...

There is no 35th street downtown. There is only one in Midtown, which
is as close as one gets. Whether the address is east or west tells you
all you need to know. (The other two 35th streets are in the Northland
and KCK. ) The only place you're allowed to be confused is on the
Johnson/Wyandotte county line, which street is called 47th by JO and
County Line Road by WY, at the intersection with what JO calls Antioch
and WY calls 47th. From that intersection, you can go in 3 different
directions and still be on 47th Street (either West 47th or South 47th,
depending, which should give you a clue.)

Or is it as difficult as knowing the difference between RH and Debian?
