CD-RW Drive problems

	I am running RedHat 6.1 with kernel 2.2.12. I have a Creative CD-ROM
as hdc and a Sony CD-RW as hdd. I am trying to get my CD-RW to work. I
have followed the instructions to compile my kernel with SCSI Emulation
enabled (as module). I have added append="hsc=ide-scsi hdd=ide-scsi" to
my lilo.conf and I load the ide-scsi module on boot. When I reboot and
run cdrecord -scanbus, it only sees 1 scsi device, which is my CD-ROM
drive. I also added scd8 with 'mknod' and tried to point it to my
CD-RW, but it still won't see it. When I rmmod ide-scsi and then
modprobe ide-scsi, it only sees the Creative CD-ROM. I tried switching
the drive order in my lilo.conf, and ide-scsi only sees my CD-RW. BUT I
cannot access my other CD-ROM at all.

Any ideas? I'm all out of them!

Thanks,

Gene Dascher
