Is there any reason why Majordomo can't strip it's own duplicated footers
out of the message?

And another thing, when you reply to the first message of a new thread,
sometimes the mail reader sees the "RE: new thread" as being different from
"new thread".  Why?

  This is a Beautiful Thing.  No reason why Majordomo couldn't do the
exact same, if you can just tweak it the way you want.
