Here is a draft of an open letter I am writing. Comments? Agree?
Disagree?

--DRAFT--DRAFT--DRAFT--DRAFT--DRAFT--DRAFT--

Why the Annual Linux Showcase 2002 should be held in Kansas City.

1). Central Location: There are 49 local user groups with one day
drive. The ill-fated LinuxFest 2000 had attendees from St. Louis,
Wichita, and Austin, TX.
2). Three letters: BBQ. Barbecue is a religious topic in Kansas
City.

The arguments can get every bit as heated as which distributsion,
Vi/Emacs, or Gnome/KDE.
3). Lower costs: Kansas City is less expensive than other areas of
the country.
4). Geeks with Guns: Full auto. 'nuff said.
5). Large convention space: Bartle Hall as 400,000 square feet of
space.
6.) Local companies: Atipa, Informix, IBM S/390 group
