How did you boot linux on it?  Did you use Lilo or a 
diskette?  It looks like lilo didn't get configured.
If you don't get things working by September 6th, 
bring it in and we will help you figure it out.  I 
am running Linux on a 486 notebook.

You can get out of Minicom with 'Ctrl-a' 'X'.  (I 
think, if you look at the bottom, there should be 
instructions on how to get into help.)
