Linux internet provider

Hmmm, Tyrell in 1991? How? The Internet was made open to the "public"
in 1992. Before that, it was just for education, the military, and the
US Government.

I started with Tyrell in 1992, when it first came out, I think. It was
still just a RoboBBS (I think that was the BBS brand name.) Eventually
they moved from a "door" to a full-blown SunOS.

Before that, in 1991, I could only hook up to the 'net via SMSU, in
Springfield, MO.

Does anyone know what happened to Tyrell regarding the Attorney General
of Missouri? Yes, I was one of those overbilled people. Later, I was
one of those automatically resubscribed people, even though I told them
not to do so way in advance.

Okay - so more accurately - 15 or so years of using the net,
and 6-8 years of connecting through ISPs. Who remembers, off
the top of their head - without looking it up - when Tyrell
started? I say '93, but it could have been as early as '92
or as late as '94.
