Subject: PEX anybody?
Date: 26 Jun 1993 18:36:50 GMT

First off, I'm kinda new to this posting thing, I beleive that I
have searched the news for the answer, and I have read the FAQ(s) and the
XFree861.3 README's; if what I am asking has already been coeverd somewhere
please just e-mail me with where...
        OK, I have a 486/33 notebook running .99pl10 with GCC2.4.3 and
libc4.4. I've gotten XFree86 to run great in mono mode, but now I want to
make it do PEX, so I edited my site.def appropriately, and did an ./mkmf.
It couldnt find "stddef.h" when it tried to make dependecies, so I had to
manually copy it some odd gcc directory into /usr/include, it compiles fine,
but when I try to run like "beach_ball" it says like "-201: sever has no PEX
support", xdpyinfo or whatever it is called does not report the X#D-PEX
externsion either. I did a make install after making the server, so it is
definitely using the freshly compiled server... What stupid mistake am I
making this time? Can XF86_mono not support PEX? only Xf86_svga? Flame me
for my stupidity please, I'recompiled several times already, and we all know
how frustraing that is on <=4meg of ram..... Thanks in advance...
