A guy I know is planning on installing MS Windows on his 486/66 with
240M disk and 8M RAM. Please help me to persuade him against that waste
of clockcycles! (no offense to people who like Windows...)

Since he's running 8M of RAM, he could run X, right? Is there any good
software for word processing equatable to WP or word for Windows available
for X that will work with Linux? How 'bout other applications? He's not
a computer scientist, so I'm hesitant to lead him toward unix, but I
think X-windows might be just the key.

Anybody care to suggest how I might be able to talk him into using linux
vs. DOS or Windows? Please mail & I can summarize if there is interest
(or you can post if you think others would benefit). I know this is a bit
of personal preferance and so-on, but I'd appreciate any attempts to help
out! Thanks in advance.
