Subject: How much Adaptec 1742 (EISA) faster than 1542 (ISA)???

    Want to know the performace of Adaptec 1742..

    Is it really much faster than 1542 in Linux environment?

    Currently, I want to upgrade my sys. board to EISA VLB (not mini-EISA).

    But want to see 1742 is worth to buy or not...

    Is there any problems of 1742 in Linux? Thanks....
