There is a working (sort of) QIC-80 driver for 386bsd in alpha/beta test.
It doesnt have any error correction code in it yet and considering most
qic tapes have errors on them, this limits its usablility.

But it does work with tar etc.

I just got the bsd version and have no idea how easy it is going to be to port.
A quick look says it shouldnt be that difficult. I am planning to hack around on
it over the weekend.

It definately looks like a better place to start than the existing ftape stuff
as it actually works and does things :)
