I attemped to use sendfax from the mgetty-sendfax software. Compiled
no problem. I used gs -sDEVICE=dfaxhigh to produce a g3 format file.
Tried to fax on my Dallas Fax 14.4E (now defunct incidentally). It sent
something but it was rather illegible at the end. I found it helpful to
tail -f /usr/spool/fax/Faxlog in another console while faxing. It gives
a prodigious (sp) amount of output as to what's going on.
Hope this helps,
BTW does anyone else own a Dallas Fax/Modem?
