Below is the job description for the Linux Systems Administrator opening we have with Unisys.   The team works remote from home 4 days a week.  This is a 90 day contract to hire opening.  The permanent salary on conversion is $69,000.  This position is located on the Bannister Federal complex at 1500 Bannister KC MO 64114.  Please let me know if you are interested in this opening.

 

Job Description – Linux Administrator

Our ideal candidate will provide technical support and services necessary for the maintenance and management of the Red Hat Linux server.

 

The selected candidate will be responsible for providing all facets of Linux server administration services to include:

·         Server Administration of Red Hat Linux Server 5.X – 6.X

·         Server Administration of virtualized Red Hat Linux Servers on VMware 5.5 infrastructure

·         Systems Architecture and Design Engineering

·         System Performance and Capacity Management

·         Systems Configuration and Change Management

·         Support and Implementation of Security Management Policies

·         Software and Hardware Inventory Management

·         Data Backup and Recovery

·         Incident Response

·         User Identification and Access Management

·         Continuity of Operations Plan / Disaster Recovery Support

·         Operations Documentation and Reporting

Skills and Experience:

·         Red Hat Linux  5.X - 6.X Enterprise Server Architecture, Install/Support 

·         Dell Servers, Install/Support 

·         Virtualized Linux servers on VMware 5.X infrastructure

·         Problem Solving

·         Customer Service

·         Self-Discipline and Drive  

·         Associate’s degree or equivalent experience

·         Minimum of two years’ experience working with supported products
