I wonder if it requires the use CMOS support for legacy emulate floppy drive boot. In which case, it'd have to be setup like a CDROM bootable distro. That could require fiddling with CMOS.

Last I checked most machines on the market don't support booting from USB or Firewire devices... except with the legacy emulate floppy drive boot option.
