Not sure if an HP 8200 is an atapi device or not. so this may not be
applicable.
Take a look in you /etc/lilo.conf file.
Look for a line that looks something like this:
append=" hdc=ide-scsi".
If you have an atapi CDRW you MUST use this to make it work.
