yes fstab, and you should add a line something like this
        /dev/name /mnt/point ntfs defaults 0 0

It should mount read-only. replace /dev/name with the device file of the
ntfs partition. Replace /mnt/point with the place to mount. You may have
to change defaults to some specific setttings, but I would give that a go

Unless there is an uninstall program included, you will have to remove all
of the files manually.
