Subject: Woody dnsdomainname problem

I have two Woody boxes. They are configured the same. Both are getting
   dhcp ip addresses from the same dhcp server. forward and reverse
dnslookups work for both issued ip address. Both /etc/resolve.conf are
the same.

host1
        dnsdomainname returns the domainname
host2
        dnsdomainname returns ""

Any ideas?
