Why don't you like the idea of turning it into a Desktop Environment?
Another desktop choice out there to confuse people? I really want to try it
out and see what kind of potential it has.

        I personally use Gnome as my desktop because I have always used it, but it
is really screwey sometimes. I have never touched KDE. Maybe I'll install
and use KDE when I upgrade to Mandrake 8.1.

Yes, it is very pretty. I know some people are running it full time, but
I don't think it is there yet. I also don't agree with the new philosphy
of making a desktop environment out of it. I think I will stick with the
e 16 for some time until I can find a replacment.
