YOUR GOING THE WRONG WAY DUDE!

If it is Win95/98, then boot into windows, and run the following.

        format /mbr
        format c: /s

If it is WinNT/2K then run a reovery installation to over write the MBR.
There is some other way that can be found at the MS Knowledge Base.

When you are done run fdisk or the disk administrator depending on
whether you are in 9X or NT respectively, and delete the partitions, and
create new ones your OS can do something with.

If I boot to DOS with a boot floppy and format the disk, will that destroy the Linux partitions, too? So, if I install Windows I will get all of the disk back? > > -SD > > >
