Recommended Links for Newbies

I have some folks that are interested in using Linux, but want a good 
migration guide.  Do you have any links that you recommend for guides 
for newbies?  I'm thinking they should start with Ubuntu, and dual 
boot.  That allows Ubuntu to do it's migration thing.  Anyone know if it 
will migrate Outlook mail yet?  Anyway, what's your best Linux to 
Windows migration links?
