 By CardBus slot, do you mean PC Card slot in a laptop?  That is the
only reason I could see to have it run off a car lighter jack, but doubt
this would support a big disaster recovery operation.

is 
coming out with a WiFi router that supports it (via a CardBus slot) and
can 
run off a car's cig lighter jack...
