Openoffice and Mozilla

I was asking for help on several chat relays yesterday
trying to get my Mozilla Address book set up as a data
source for OpenOffice. I was using version 1.1.4, and
couldn't get that to work so I installed version 2.
Still no go. I found out this morning that the two
files necessary to make that work aren't included in
version 1.1.4 and version 2. I also discovered that
the package maintainer has pulled support for Mozilla
address book integration, as I was getting ready to
post a bug report. I need to get the libmozab2.so and
libmozabdrv.so libraries and incorporate them in to my
system and maybe make an alternative package. Here I
thought I just had a screwed up system again. That's
what I get for thinking, I guess.
Thanks to those who tried to help me yesterday. Oh
well I guess there's always plain text importing of my
address book. Or make an LDAP server for my addresses.
Not sure where to begin there, I never messed with
LDAP.
Might make a good presentation for some meeting night.

Thanks,
Brian JD
